OISE Professor Kang Lee recognized with 2024 Governor General’s Innovation Award

Professor Rubén Gaztambide-Fernández has been appointed Chair of the Department Social Justice Education for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2024.

OISE alumni Drs. Cindy Sincliar and Ahmed Ilmi were each recently recognized with one of 17 awards, presented by the University of Toronto African Alumni Association during the seventh annual GOWN: African Scholars Awards. The initiative is founded and led by another alum, and current PhD candidate, Henry Ssasli.

A research collaboration with OISE, University of Manitoba, Lakehead University, and Simon Fraser University will present their findings publicly on May 13th.

Next month, Prof. Katherine Entigar (AECD) will be traveling with three OISE graduate students to represent the U of T at the 2024 U7+ Student Challenge Summit.

Associate Professor Jeffrey Ansloos has been selected as a delegate for the 2024 Science Meets Parliament program, to be held in Ottawa on May 6 and 7.
